2023年11月份國政聯誼會縮影 ![]() 本會於2023年11月19日假台北喜來登大飯店地下二樓喜廳舉行「祐生國政聯誼會」。在主持人黃晉英秘書長宣布後揭開當日活動序幕,在輕鬆、活潑的節目之下,隨即由主持人帶來重要訊息:「就在台灣諸位總統候選人仍在紛紛擾擾之際,眾所矚目的「拜習會」已經在11月15日落幕,而台海議題成為這次關注重點,因此台灣的安全才是我們應該正視的焦點。而台積電創辦人張忠謀日前參與APEC擔任台灣領袖代表,傳達台灣將持續在瞬息萬變的國際情勢中,確保經濟發展,同時對亞太區域繁榮與穩定做出貢獻,彰顯了台灣在科技領域的國際地位。另外,以色列與哈瑪斯的衝突仍持續進行,對全球政經局勢造成影響,身處在局勢動盪的時代,我們要眼觀四面、耳聽八方,並且有獨立思考的能力,才能做出正確的抉擇。」 The November Archilife Public Policy Communion of 2023 was held on November 19, 2023. After a series of relaxing and fun activities, Secretary General Huang Chin-ying made the following announcement, "As the various presidential candidates in Taiwan continue their fervent election campaigns, the much-anticipated "Biden-Xi Meeting" concluded on November 15th, with the Taiwan Strait issue persisting as the focal point of attention. Consequently, Taiwan's security is the critical focus we should address. Recently, Morris Chang, the founder of TSMC, participated in APEC as Taiwan's representative, conveying Taiwan's commitment to ensure economic development amid rapidly evolve global situation. Additionally, Taiwan has pledged to contribute to the prosperity and stability of the Asia-Pacific region, underscoring its international standing in the realm of technology. Meanwhile, the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas continues, impacting global political and economic development. In an era of tumultuous global geopolitics, it's imperative to observe keenly, listen attentively and possess the ability for independent critical thinking to make sound and informed decisions." ![]() Next on the schedule was the keynote speech. First, Ms. Cheng Wei-ning presented a speech on the "2023 Mid-Year Research Findings". The speaker began by highlighting the Archilife's longstanding research on symbiosis, citing specific progress achieved in this area. Starting from 2023, new research directions have been pursued in response to the evolving trends in climate change and the survival challenges faced by the post-pandemic world. These efforts aim to envision the appearance of a future new world and devise corresponding strategies. The research outcomes are expected to serve as vital guidelines for Archilife in charting a sustainable new world. For the first half of 2023, the research focus was defined as transitioning from symbiosis and digitalization to smart living. The research topics and steps encompass three main areas: environmental variation trends, technological development trends and smart transformation trends. The speaker indicated that the direction for the latter half of 2023 would center on the current status, trends and future potential applications of AI technology. The research is slated for completion by year-end and the findings will be shared with Archilife members in due course. ![]() Next, Ms. Chang Yu-tung spoke on "Reconstructing Historical Sites: Exploring and Reshaping the Spirit of Sites". The speaker began by highlighting how, over time, buildings increasingly exhibit higher values. Architecturally significant structures in cities, with unique historical significance and architectural styles, require protection and preservation. Preserving stories and considering memories as resources enable us to contemplate the future, framing them as cultural assets within the nation's shared memory and narrative. The speaker then focused on the revitalization of historical sites in Kaohsiung's harbor area, including the former British Consulate at Takow, the former Kaohsiung Branch of Taiwan Provincial Fisheries Research Institute and the construction history of mountain trails. The core value lies in deepening profound local connections, starting from historical and cultural memory perspectives, integrating them into urban governance. This involves regional revitalization and cultural governance, aiming to create memories that reconnect and resonate with contemporary life. ![]() Next, Mr. Chen Chih-chen spoke on "Enhancing the Quality of the Living Environment in Changhua County: Rural Community Land Development". The speaker discussed his involvement in a development project, explained that a small portion of the land involved in the development was "public land awaiting registration". The registration process was governed by the Irrigation Agency, Ministry of Agriculture under the Irrigation Act. This required considerations for irrigation, drainage management and the construction of bridges and irrigation channels as well as auxiliary facilities. Despite some complexities during the process, the speaker expressed gratitude for the assistance received from various government agencies, departments and individuals, which facilitated the smooth completion of the project. The speaker also shared that, in observance of local customs and traditions, a customary folk ritual was performed before construction began, signifying respect for the land and people. Lastly, he affirmed his commitment to act as a local observer, leveraging the area's unique features and ensuring ongoing involvement in regional development efforts. ![]() After the speech, Secretary General Huang Chin-ying presented a gift to the speakers on behalf of the foundation. Then, attendees expressed and exchanged their opinions and views during the piggy hour. The November Archilife Public Policy Communion ended smoothly. |
