The Speaker began from the financial health of the National Health Insurance. He continued to say that, in the recent decade, the science of medical supplies, drugs and surgical procedures have taken a giant leap, but they are still inseparable from the basic medical science. The speaker moved on to introduce some of the cutting-edge medical technologies, including the revolutionizing target drugs, spiral knife radiation treatment, the Da Vinci surgical system, ECMO, new steel sheets and new prosthetic materials and designs, stem cell therapy and PRP injection. Finally, the speaker said that building materials should adapt to the environment and wood-based materials are good choices for their ecological values, carbon sequestration function and sustainable development.
