For the study tour of September 22, 2024, Ms. Lu Ming-yun led 22 ARF interns and their parents on a trip to learn about incense culture and radio broadcasting in Chiayi. The first stop in the morning was Zhongpu Granary Agriculture Innovation Park–a revitalized granary managed by the Zhongpu Township Farmers Association. The park serves as a venue for selling agricultural products as well as promoting art and tourism. Everyone visited a unique octagonal pavilion, which was originally used to store rice grains, and purchased Chiayi County farm products at the retail store. It also featured a Starbucks café with exterior and interior that retain the traditional appearance and layout of an old barn. Proceeding to Singang Incense Artistic Culture Garden at Xingang Township, everyone tried DIY mosquito repellent incense. After gaining a basic knowledge of incense choice and ratio, and kneading technique, everyone used a mixture of fragrant wood dough to make an incense tower in various creative shapes and styles. After lunch, everyone watched and applauded as old craftsmen skillfully dipped bamboo sticks in water, applied specially blended incense powder and placed them in an airy place to dry. In the museum, everyone learned the history and types of incense, and artworks made from incense materials. The museum also featured an agarwood sculpture with a hole drilled into it, allowing people to smell its fragrance while admiring the sculpture with hidden carvings of Chinese zodiac animals. Besides acquiring knowledge of incense making, everyone felt the importance of incense culture in religion and everyday living, which redefined their understanding of the value and meaning of incense.

In the afternoon, everyone visited the National Radio Museum in Minxiong, which was formerly Minxiong Broadcasting Bureau and an important base for psychological warfare and propaganda during World War II. The museum exhibits vacuum tubes used for radio broadcasting, and the world's only remaining MB-15-A model 100kW antique mediumwave transmitter. Through exhibits and historical information, everyone learned about broadcasting, and the development and applications of broadcasting technology have witnessed changing eras and needs in different times, and have profound impact on information broadcasting, cultural education and social mobilization. The next destination was the God Bene Sesame Museum in Tuku, Yunlin. As the main agricultural area for oil seed crops, such as peanut and sesame seed, processed oil products make up the main industry here. In the oil product exhibition area, everyone learned how a single drop of oil is produced. From raw material selection, baking, pressing, filtering to final packaging, each step demonstrates the care and technique used in the traditional craft. During the DIY sesame oil bottling activity, everyone colored the packaging, filled the bottle with oil and sealed it carefully. As the day's tour came to an end, everyone took a group photo before heading back home and looked forward to the next study tour.
