Archilife was established by the founder Lin Chun-shin and started her mission on the collection and classification of publications concerning knowledge in Taipei, ROC.
1986
Archilife launched scholarships to support the students in master courses on various research topics.

Archilife embarked the study entitled "Specifications of Next Generation Settlements." (a long-term followed-up study on the specifications for the next generation settlements of the Chinese people. The purpose of the study was to set a phased prediction system that was based on the trends of development calibrated by variations and finally, to establish a "Forecast Guided Implementation Plan " system)

Archilife completed the Inauguration of Archilife Architecture Research Center in Chung Yuan Christian University, Toayuan, Taiwan.

The first stage assembly of the pioneer team announced "1995 Pioneer Statement."

The study on "Symbiotic Ecological Environments" was commenced to search the traits of ecological environments and to seek a balanced improvement of living and surroundings. These research groups were organized: Health and Hygiene, Agriculture and Fishery, Space Planning and Construction, Biological Environment, History and Culture, Physical Environment as well as their respective research sub-groups. All the findings of research groups and sub-groups were focused on the theme to integrate a symbiotic living system that is biologically sustainable. With the completion of the Symbiosphere 1 Center in 2002, the study was carried out in a way of real scale experimentation.

Archilife Secretary General Judy, Huang Chin-ying led a delegation to take part in iiSBE annual fall board meeting held in Prague, the Czech Republic. The delegation had successfully won the right for Taiwan to host SB07 regional meeting (SB07 Taipei) as well as the priority for Taiwan to establish iiSBE Taiwan.

Archilife has assisted in the founding of Taiwan Society of Sustainable Built Environment. Archilife Secretary General Judy, Huang Chin-ying served as founding president of the said association. The association was a platform of connection and exchanges between Taiwan and the international community in the field of sustainable building.
